For eons now I've been waxing and, more recently, threading my brows. I think I have killed all the sensors in my brow area. But today, after refusing many offers by the wax techs, I volunteered my upper lip. There are these two little spots on the side of my upper lip with this fine hairs that weren't pale (like the others) but in fact a slight black and becoming more noticeable. I'd always refused to have them removed before out of fear the taking any action against their existence would cause the wrath of thicker, darker and more noticeable facial hair. Because I am serving as a bridesmaid next weekend, I was inspired to have them threaded when I went for my eyebrows.
My gosh, it was the most painful beauty thing I ever did. My poor virginal lip area had never felt the pain of hair removal and my, how we suffered. Now that their gone, I realized that they were only noticeable when I would stare at my face close up. The things we suffer through out of our own paranoia....
FYI, the photo above is prior to threading....
